USSD
This is the quickest way to check your MTN phone number. Simply dial *123# from your MTN line and you will be given a list of options. Select “My Number” option and your phone number will be displayed on the screen.
MTN Customer Care
If you are unable to access the USSD code or prefer to speak with a customer service representative, you can call MTN’s customer care line at 180. When you call, simply tell the customer service representative that you want to check your phone number and they will be able to provide it to you.

You can also check your phone’s settings to find your MTN phone number. On most phones, you can find your phone number by going to:

myMTN Mobile App
myMTN Mobile App is a way to manage your MTN account and check your phone number. To use the app, you will need to download it from the Google Play Store or App Store.
To check your phone number using MTN mobile app, follow these steps:
- Open the MTN mobile App
- As you open the app, a welcome screen will show up.
- Tap on the “Proceed” button to move to the next page.
- On the next screen, you’ll see a dashboard with your MTN number right at the top.
Call A Friend
If you do not want to use the MTN mobile app, you can always ask a friend to check your phone number for you. Simply call them and ask them to read out the phone number.

Buying MTN Airtime
To buy MTN airtime, you can:
- Buy a physical voucher from any vendor. Scratch the card to reveal the PIN, then dial *311*Voucher PIN# to recharge.
- Use the myMTN app. Download the app and create an account. Then, choose the option to recharge airtime and enter the amount you want to buy.
- Go to MTN’s website and recharge airtime online. Enter your phone number and the amount you want to buy. Then, choose your payment method.
- Use an ATM that supports mobile top-ups. Insert your card, select “Mobile Recharge,” choose MTN as the network, and enter your phone number and the amount you want to buy.
- Use your mobile banking app to recharge airtime. Look for the option to buy airtime or top up your phone.
- Use CardVest. To buy MTN airtime on Cardvest, log in to your account and click on the “Airtime” icon. Select MTN as the network provider, enter the phone number you want to recharge, and the amount of airtime you want to buy. Click on the “Buy Airtime” button to complete the transaction.
